Set of two unique ceramic pitchers in different sizes and forms. The smaller pitcher has a full, rounded body with a short neck, while the larger example has a slender, curved form with a tall neck and pronounced handle. Both feature characteristic glazes in turquoise, grey and muted pink tones. Models from the 1940s.

Bio:
Richard Uhlemeyer (1900–1954) was a German ceramicist and craftsman, born in Göttingen and deceased in Hanover. He studied at the arts and crafts school in Hanover and established his own pottery workshop there in 1935. His production included vessels in high-fired clay and stoneware, encompassing serially produced models, unique pieces and glaze experiments. Uhlemeyer was also a prominent figure in German craftsmanship and served from 1949 until his death in 1954 as the first president of the Central Association of German Crafts.
