Colourful lithographic exhibition poster produced for Asger Jorn’s exhibition at Galerie Jeanne Bucher, 53 Rue de Seine, Paris, December 1970 – January 1971. The composition displays Jorn’s characteristic spontaneous and expressive visual language, with organic, figurative forms rendered in vivid blue, orange, yellow, and green. The gallery name, address, and exhibition dates are printed along the lower margin.

Bio:
Asger Jorn (1914–1973) was a Danish painter, printmaker, ceramicist, sculptor, and writer and is regarded as one of the most internationally significant Scandinavian artists of the 20th century. In 1936, he travelled to Paris and studied with Fernand Léger. Jorn was a co-founder of CoBrA and later became a central figure in the Situationist International. His extensive oeuvre encompasses painting, printmaking, drawing, collage, ceramics, sculpture, and weaving. Museum Jorn in Silkeborg holds the world’s largest collection of his works.
