Large oval dish in white porcelain decorated with the classic green vine leaf wreath. Marked with the Meissen crossed swords, first quality.

Origin: Meissen, Saxony, Germany.

Period: Circa 1930s.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
The Meissen Porcelain Manufactory was founded in 1710. The green Vine Leaf pattern was created in 1817 by Johann Samuel Arnhold following several years of development using chromium oxide green underglaze. The vine leaf decoration subsequently became a Meissen classic. The Crossed Swords have been the manufactory’s trademark since 1722.
