Bio:
Ursula Munch-Petersen (1937–2025) was a Danish ceramicist and designer, born in Rønne on Bornholm as the fourth generation of the Bornholm Hjorth family of ceramicists. She studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen from 1956 to 1960 and worked for Bing & Grøndahl from 1961 to 1968. She later established her own studio and began collaborating with Royal Copenhagen in 1987. Her work ranges from unique and sculptural pieces to functional ceramics and is characterised by a close relationship between form, function and material.
