Bio:
Bjørn Wiinblad (1918–2006) was a Danish artist, ceramicist and designer who studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. From the 1950s, he maintained a long-standing collaboration with the German porcelain manufacturer Rosenthal, creating designs for porcelain, glass and cutlery. His distinctive style was decorative and imaginative, frequently drawing inspiration from fairy tales, music and theatre.
