Bio:
Bjørn Wiinblad (1918–2006) was a Danish artist, ceramicist and designer who studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. In 1957, he began his association with the German porcelain manufacturer Rosenthal, where over nearly five decades he created numerous designs in porcelain, glass and cutlery. His distinctive style was imaginative and highly ornamental, with inspiration drawn from music, theatre and fairy tales.
