Bio:
Saxbo was founded in 1929 by Nathalie Krebs (1895–1978) and Gunnar Nylund and was continued by Krebs after Nylund’s departure. Krebs was trained as a chemical engineer and specialised in developing stoneware glazes, which became a defining feature of the workshop’s production. Saxbo was among the most significant Danish stoneware workshops of the 20th century and closed in 1968. The encircled yin-yang mark was used from 1949 to 1968.
