Murano, latticino fazzoletto bowl.Hand-blown glass bowl in a sculptural fazzoletto form with a high, undulating and asymmetrical rim, executed in the latticino technique with fine white glass threads and decorative glass bands in pink, green, yellow and blue tones.
Origin: Murano, Italy.
Material: Glass.
Dimensions: H. 10 cm, D. 9 cm.
Period: 1970s.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Murano has been a centre of the Venetian glassmaking tradition for centuries and is renowned for sophisticated techniques in hand-blown art glass. The latticino technique incorporates fine glass threads into the glass mass to create decorative patterns. The fazzoletto form, distinguished by its free-flowing, undulating rim, became a notable form in modern Murano glass during the 20th century.
