Elegant Danish picture frame with an oval visual opening, executed with moulded profiles, decorative ornamentation and a gilt surface. The frame displays fine craftsmanship and is characteristic of the richly decorated frames associated with 19th-century historicism.

Valdemar Kleis was a Danish frame maker associated with decorative picture frames during the 19th century.
