Bio:
Carl Fagerlund (1915–2011) was a Swedish designer and lighting architect who graduated from the Higher Art Industrial School in Stockholm in 1943. He joined Orrefors in 1946 and became renowned for his sophisticated lighting designs combining textured glass with brass. His lighting installations were commissioned for hotels, churches, embassies, and public buildings across Scandinavia and internationally, and his work remains highly regarded as a classic of Swedish mid-century lighting design.
