Bio:
Tapio Wirkkala (1915–1985) was one of Finlands most influential designers and sculptors. Working across glass, ceramics, silver and industrial design, he created numerous iconic works for companies including Iittala, Rosenthal and Venini. His organic design language and inspiration from the Nordic landscape established him as one of the foremost Scandinavian designers of the 20th century.
