René Lalique "Coquilles" ceiling lamp.Elegant ceiling lamp in moulded and satin-finished glass with a fluted shade, model Coquilles, designed in 1921. Suspended by twisted cords with metal fittings in the characteristic Art Deco style.

Bio:
René Lalique (1860–1945) was a French glass artist, jeweller and designer, widely regarded as one of the leading figures of both the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements. He began his career as a jeweller before transforming the art of glassmaking through innovative moulded and satin-finished glass techniques. During the 1920s he created a series of iconic lighting designs and decorative glass objects that remain among the most sought-after examples of French decorative arts.
