Chinese bouquetière.Decorative porcelain bouquetière with a pierced flower holder designed to support floral arrangements. Finished in a soft celadon-green glaze and marked on the underside.
Origin: China.
Material: Porcelain.
Dimensions: H. 6 cm, D. 20 cm.
Period: Late 19th to early 20th century.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.
Bio:
Bouquetières have been used in China for centuries to display carefully arranged flowers, with the pierced insert keeping individual stems in place. Celadon glazes have long been admired for their subtle green tones and refined finish, and porcelain of this type was produced for both the domestic market and export during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
