Meissen, set of five small dishes.

Set of five small porcelain dishes with various hand-painted floral decorations and gilded rims. Some are first quality, while others are cancelled with two incised lines. All are marked with the Meissen crossed swords.

Origin: Germany.
Material: Porcelain.
Dimensions: H. 2.5 cm, D. 8–11 cm.
Period: Early 20th century.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.

Bio:
The Meissen Porcelain Manufactory was founded in 1710 and was Europes first producer of hard-paste porcelain. Its famous crossed swords mark was introduced in the 1720s and is among the worlds oldest trademarks. Meissen is particularly renowned for its hand-painted porcelain, floral decorations and the exceptional quality of its modelling and decoration.
