Iconic ceiling pendant lamp, model Topan, in chrome-plated metal with a hemispherical shade. Designed by Verner Panton and produced by Louis Poulsen. A classic example of Danish lighting design from the period.

Bio:
Verner Panton (1926–1998) was a Danish architect and designer internationally renowned for his innovative furniture, lighting and interior designs. He was one of the most visionary figures in twentieth-century Danish design and became famous for his organic forms, bold use of colour and experimental approach to materials. The Topan pendant, introduced in 1959, was Panton’s first mass-produced lamp and remains a celebrated design classic today.
