Bio:
Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was a Finnish-Swedish ceramic artist and designer regarded as one of the most influential Nordic ceramicists of the 20th century. He served as artistic director at Rörstrand from 1931 to 1955, creating numerous iconic stoneware series and unique works. Nylund is particularly celebrated for his elegant organic forms and innovative glaze techniques, which helped define Scandinavian ceramic design.
