Hand-thrown art deco stoneware vase with flambe glaze and the distinctive Dahl decoration. The vase features a stylised figural motif and elegant gilded details, produced during Gunnar Nylund’s early period at ALP Lidköping.

Bio:
Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was one of the most influential Scandinavian ceramic artists and designers of the twentieth century. Born in Paris to Finnish-Danish parents, he became internationally renowned for his work at Rörstrand, where he created some of the factory’s most celebrated ceramic designs. Prior to joining Rörstrand, he worked for ALP Lidköping, producing exclusive art deco and flambe-glazed stoneware. His work is represented in museum collections worldwide and remains highly sought after by collectors.
