Biography
Ingrid Atterberg was one of the most distinguished Swedish ceramic artists of the post-war era. Employed by Upsala-Ekeby from 1944 to 1963, she developed a highly individual design language characterized by refined silhouettes, sophisticated glazing techniques, and a keen sensitivity to proportion. Her work embodies the ideals of Scandinavian Modernism, combining artistic restraint with decorative elegance. Today, Atterberg's creations are regarded among the most desirable and collectible pieces produced by Upsala-Ekeby during its celebrated mid-century period.
