Birgitta Tillander and others, set of three unique studio ceramics.Set consisting of three hand-signed Scandinavian stoneware objects, including bowls and vase forms with experimental glazes in blue, white and earthy tones. Varied organic forms with artistic decoration, created as individual works in small production.
Origin: Scandinavia.
Material: Stoneware.
Dimensions: H. 4–10 cm, W. 9–15 cm.
Period: Late 20th century.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.
Bio:
Birgitta Tillander (1931–2006) was a Swedish ceramist and illustrator educated at Konstfackskolan in Stockholm and the Instituto Statale dArte in Florence. Her ceramic works included large vases, bowls and dishes distinguished by constructed forms and experimental glazing techniques. Tillander worked internationally, particularly in Italy, and is represented in the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm. Her works are appreciated for their strong artistic individuality and distinctive sculptural language.
