Bio:
Batte Sahlin (born 1929) is a Swedish painter, sculptor, and printmaker educated in part at Gerlesborg School of Fine Art. He debuted in Stockholm in 1962 and became known for a distinctive modernist visual language combining abstraction, figurative suggestion, and strong colouristic vitality. His works are represented in major Swedish institutions including Moderna Museet and the Nationalmuseum, establishing him as an important figure in postwar Swedish art.
