Bio:
Carl Edgar Böckman was a Swedish ceramic artist and designer, born on 21 September 1890 in Malmö and died on 16 March 1981 in Lidingö.

He worked primarily in ceramic arts and crafts and was active during the first half of the 20th century. Böckman is known for his clean, refined design language, in which function and aesthetics were combined in the spirit of modernism. His work reflects influences from both Nordic design traditions and the artistic movements of his time.

He contributed to the development of Swedish ceramics as an art form and is considered part of the generation that helped shape modern Scandinavian design.
