Large circular dish in glazed earthenware featuring a characteristic double glaze in green, turquoise and black tones. The surface shows lively variation and subtle crackle, typical of Hammershøi’s experimental glaze techniques. Signed HAK to the base.

Bio:
Svend Hammershøi (1873–1948) was a Danish ceramicist and one of the most important artists at Kähler. He worked at the factory from the late 19th century and is especially known for his monumental forms and refined glazes. Hammershøi developed distinctive surfaces where colour variation and texture play a central role, and his works are today considered highlights of Danish ceramic art.
