Lladró was founded in 1953 in Valencia by the brothers Juan, José and Vicente Lladró. The company evolved from a small family workshop into an internationally recognised manufacturer of art porcelain, renowned for its hand-modelled and hand-painted figurines and decorative works. During the 1960s and 70s, Lladró gained worldwide recognition for its high technical standards and distinctive aesthetic, and the group later introduced Nao as part of its production, focusing on ceramic and porcelain design objects.
