Bio:
Jens Harald Quistgaard (1919–2008) was a Danish designer and sculptor and a central figure in 20th-century Danish design. As chief designer for Dansk Designs from its founding in 1954, he created a wide range of objects in steel, wood, glass and ceramics. His work combines functional clarity and high craftsmanship with a design language rooted in Nordic tradition, and his designs achieved wide international recognition, particularly in the American market.
