Bio:
The Blue Onion pattern was introduced by Meissen in 1739 and was inspired by East Asian porcelain, featuring stylised floral and fruit motifs rendered in underglaze blue. It became one of the manufactory’s most enduring designs. Around 1900, Meissen continued producing Blue Onion tableware of consistently high quality. Deep plates from this period were intended for soups and serving dishes and reflect the manufactory’s long-standing standards of craftsmanship, durability, and decorative clarity.
