Bio:
Carsten Henrichsen was a Danish landscape painter born in Copenhagen in 1824. Educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, he worked in the Eckersberg tradition, focusing on naturalistic and detailed depictions of landscapes and urban scenes. He is particularly known for his topographical views of Copenhagen and North Zealand. Henrichsen exhibited regularly at Charlottenborg and received the Neuhausen Prize in 1855. He died in Copenhagen in 1897.
