Göran Andersson for Upsala Ekeby, vase.
Rounded glazed ceramic vase with a short neck and pronounced shoulder. The lower section is finished in a warm brown glaze and decorated with graphic, stylised floral or radiating motifs in white, while the upper section is completed in glossy white glaze. The contrast between the two glazes gives the vase a clear and balanced modernist expression. Model number 3062G.

Bio:
Göran Andersson was a Swedish ceramic artist and designer associated with Upsala Ekeby in the mid-20th century. His work is characterised by clear forms combined with graphic decoration and strong glaze contrasts. Upsala Ekeby was one of Sweden’s most important ceramic producers during this period and played a key role in the development of Scandinavian modernism in both functional and decorative ceramics, many of which are now highly collectible.
