Bio:
Blue Fluted Plain was introduced by the Royal Porcelain Factory in 1775 and is the oldest porcelain pattern in continuous production in Denmark. In the early 19th century, the decoration was applied to a variety of more experimental and naturalistic forms, including leaf- and shell-shaped dishes, often produced in limited numbers. These early pieces are characterised by exceptional craftsmanship and a lively freehand-painted decoration, making them highly sought after by collectors and museum collections today.
