Sculptural copper pendant with a characteristic patinated surface and inset amber-coloured glass lenses encircling the shade.
Origin: Holland.
Material: Copper and glass.
Dimensions: H. 20 cm, D. 30 cm. Cord 110 cm.
Period: 1970s.
Condition: Very good condition with light patina.
Bio:
Nanny Still (1926–2009) was one of Finland’s most influential designers within glass and lighting. After graduating from the Institute of Industrial Arts in Helsinki, she joined Riihimäki Glassworks in the 1950s, developing a sculptural and colour-rich design language. In the 1960s and 70s she collaborated with RAAK in Holland, creating a series of iconic lamps distinguished by experimental material combinations, patinated metals and inset glass elements.
