Jam jar with spoon, 1970s.
Wheel-thrown stoneware jam jar with fixed lid in brown Palshus glaze and the characteristic vertical ribbed decoration. Notch for spoon. Includes sterling silver spoon from Georg Jensen, Bernadotte series (length 14 cm).
Origin: Denmark.
Material: Stoneware; spoon in stainless steel.
Dimensions: H. 14 cm, D. 9 cm.
Period: 1970s.
Condition: Very good condition with minor signs of wear.

Palshus Ceramics was founded in 1948 by Per and Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt and became renowned for its modernist stoneware with clean forms, subtle hues and refined relief work. Production was executed in small batches, often wheel-thrown, giving each piece a studio-crafted character that makes Palshus ceramics highly collectible today.
