Saxbo, large stoneware vase, early mark, 1930s.
Large spherical stoneware vase from Saxbo with an early workshop mark, produced in the 1930s. The piece features a beautiful flowing hare’s-fur/striped glaze in shades of brown, grey and beige, characteristic of Saxbo’s early experimental high-fired glazes.

Origin: Denmark, Saxbo.
Material: Stoneware.

Condition: Very good condition with light signs of wear.

Bio:
Saxbo (1929–1968), founded by Nathalie Krebs, is one of Denmark’s most important stoneware studios. Known for its reduction-fired glazes, refined minimalist forms and exceptional craftsmanship, Saxbo collaborated with noted ceramicists such as Eva Stæhr-Nielsen and Gunnar Nylund. Today, Saxbo stoneware is highly collectable for its technical mastery and timeless Nordic aesthetic.
