Rare and monumental ceramic vase by Göran Andersson for Upsala-Ekeby, created in the 1960s. Cylindrical form with vivid hand-painted decoration in green and blue tones, featuring a distinctive band of concentric relief circles. A unique piece from the period – exceptional in both size and artistic expression.

Bio:
Göran Andersson worked at Upsala-Ekeby during a period marked by bold artistic development. In the 1950s and 60s, the factory’s artists explored expressive colours, graphic motifs and experimental surface techniques. Large, hand-decorated vases from this era were often produced in extremely small numbers or as unique works, and are today considered highly collectible.
