“Coquille” bowl in layered art glass with deep grey/black colouring and a white intermediate layer, encased in clear glass. The asymmetrical, upward-curving form is characteristic of Kedelv’s organic mid-century design language.

Bio:
Paul Kedelv (1917–1990) was a prominent Swedish glass designer. He began his training in 1931 at the drawing studio of Orrefors under Simon Gate and Edward Hald. Kedelv’s works are highly regarded today for their sculptural expression, technical mastery and distinctive mid-century aesthetic.
