Bio:
Paul Kedelv (1917–1990) was a key figure in Swedish art glass. He began his training at Orrefors in 1931 under Simon Gate and Edward Hald and went on to become one of the leading designers at Flygfors glassworks. Between 1949 and 1956 he created the iconic “Coquille” designs, combining layered colour glass with organic, sculptural forms. From 1956 to 1977 he worked at Reijmyre glassworks and also designed for Nybrofabrikken in Fröseke and Fåglaviks glassworks. Kedelv’s pieces are highly sought after today for their craftsmanship, colour layering and distinctively modernist sculptural expression.
