Bio:
Paul Kedelv (1917–1990) was an important Swedish glass designer. He began his career in the Orrefors drawing studio in 1931 under master designers Simon Gate and Edward Hald. From 1949 to 1956 he worked at Flygfors glassworks, where he developed the iconic “Coquille” series, known for its layered colours and dynamic organic forms. Between 1956 and 1977 he worked at Reijmyre glassworks, and he also designed for Nybrofabrikken in Fröseke and Fåglaviks glassworks. His works are highly prized today for their craftsmanship, distinctive colour layering, and sculptural mid-century aesthetic.
