Bio:
Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) was one of Upsala Ekeby’s most prominent postwar designers. Her works range from expressive figurines to functional tableware, distinguished by her use of relief patterns and richly textured glazes. Combining modernist restraint with warmth and individuality, she remains one of Sweden’s most celebrated ceramic artists.
