Bio:
Wilhelm Kåge (1889–1960) was one of Gustavsberg’s most influential designers, serving as artistic director from 1917 to 1949. He created numerous iconic series, including “Argenta,” introduced in the 1930s, which combined copper-green glaze and silver inlay in refined, decorative forms. The series became a hallmark of Swedish Art Deco and modernist design, and its pieces remain highly sought after by collectors today.
