Bio:
Thorvald Olsen (1897–1973) was a Danish ceramicist and designer associated with Aluminia and later Royal Copenhagen. He created a range of decorative and humorous figures as well as functional wares with organic shapes and colourful glazes. His work bridges classical faience craftsmanship with the emerging modern aesthetic of mid-century Danish ceramics.
