Bio:
Frede Christoffersen (1919–1987) was a Danish painter and illustrator. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts under Aksel Jørgensen and Vilhelm Lundstrøm, working across painting, woodcuts, illustration, and graphic techniques. Christoffersen is particularly known for his experimental graphic works and his vibrant depictions of the sun and natural light. He was awarded the Eckersberg Medal in 1965 and the Thorvaldsen Medal in 1986.
