Item no.:404897
Description:
Height 18.7 cm.Porter or beer glasses from the early 1900s, made at Holmegaard Glassworks.
The glass is mouth blown with a clear purple color. This is due to the manganese added to the pulp to purify it from its grayish tone. This glass is so-called over-colored.
It is cut with high facets on the basin, a short stem and a large mollex under the basin. Below it is with a clearly polished pontil.
The glass is seen at Holmegaard's catalog from the year 1900 but expired before 1915 when the next catalog was published.
