Item no.:390367
Description:
Height 22 cm.This is the early model from the late 19th century.
Notice the thick foot.
Amager was redesigned by Jacob E. Bang in 1955 for Kastrup Glassworks.
The design is based on a porter glass made both at Holmegaard and Aalborg Glassworks from the 1890s. This glass is included in the full service as a goblet. The other glasses differ from this by being tulip-shaped, whereas this goblet is more cylindrical.
In 1966, the full production went to Holmegaard Glassworks. The series is taken out of production during the 1980s.
The goblet and the high schnapps glass are all original forms from the 1890s service.
Amager is also called Amager Twist or Twist.
