A set of italian lamps

Description:

The wall bracket is 15 cm. high.
The glass around the bulb is 16 cm. high.
The lamp is approx. 19 cm. from the wall.

The lampshades are with a few minor chips, but are in perfect condition else.
A couple of beautiful wall lamps from the 1950s from Italy.
The set is in brass, black lacquered wall bracket and beautiful hand painted opaline glass shades.

The lamps are pointing out and upwards from the wall from the black fittings and brass arms with beautiful natural patina. The screen is fitted with two screws on the back. Behind this one sits a socket for a small bulb.

The lampshades are white opal glass painted with enamel paint in the form of yellow, red and blue dots as well as two figures from the Italian comedy, Commedia dell'arte.
The one figure is Pantalone, who is the merchant and must illustrate trade, money and being cheap.

The second lamp is decorated with the same colored spots and Harlequin with its checkered clothing. Harlequin will illustrate youth, satire and acrobatics.
Harlequin is Pantalone's servant.
