Figure in biscuit of the Sleeping King Skjold (Shield) as a child by the sculptor Th. Stein for Royal Copenhagen in the late 19th. century. The figure has a few cracks from the production one at the right ankle. No damage or repairs. Factory marks on the back of the base with the familiar three waves of Royal Copenhagen. Dimensions: 8½ cm high and 19½ cm long. From Nordic Mythology about Legends of King Skjold:: According to the saga of shield kids were Skjold child of Odin and Rind. He was King of Zealand and ancestor of the Danish Kings.
