Rare yellow pressed-glass bowl with characteristic Art Deco ornamentation and organic, undulating rim. Pierre d’Avesn’s signature use of bold relief and geometric structure is clearly evident in this decorative and highly desirable example.

Bio:
Pierre d’Avesn (1901–1990) was a major figure in French Art Deco glass design. After working under Lalique, he developed his own distinctive style, defined by strong reliefs, sculptural forms and rich colours. His pieces are now considered highly collectible for their expressive Art Deco character.
