 Bio:
Meissen is Europe’s oldest porcelain manufactory, founded in 1710. Its characteristic blue-painted decorations, especially the “Zwiebelmuster” (Onion Pattern), are among the most iconic worldwide. Meissen pieces are marked by the crossed swords on the base, a guarantee of authenticity. Different quality marks (such as incised strokes through the swords) indicate grading — 1st quality without flaws, while lower grades denote minor imperfections.
