Description:

Platte in biscuit with portrait of young un-known woman by the danish sculptor N. G. Henriksen (1855-1922) for Royal Copenhagen. In the middle of the 1880s created NGH several of these plaques and other works in biscuit for Royal Copenahgen. Often the motives drawn from the archives at the museum Thorvaldsen's why this portrait also be attributed to the great master Bertel Thorvaldsen. The plate is in perfect condition with no damage or repairs. Signed by NGH together with the production year 1884 at the young woman's neck. Factory marked on the bacdk with Royal Copenhagen's well-known brand - "The three waves". The plate is 2½ cm high and 36 cm in diameter.
