Cylindrical vase with a slightly flared form in hand-glazed ceramic with a brown and ochre glaze, decorated with dense vertical stripes. Marked.

Bio:
Upsala-Ekeby was founded in 1886 in Uppsala and began by producing bricks and tiles. From the 1910s the factory engaged artists and grew through acquisitions, including Gefle Porslinsfabrik, Karlskrona Porslinsfabrik and Rörstrand, into one of Scandinavia’s largest ceramics groups. Its well-known designers included Vicke Lindstrand, Anna-Lisa Thomson and Mari Simmulson.
