Bio:
Nils Kähler (1906–1979) was a Danish ceramicist and the fourth generation of the Kähler family. In 1940, he took over the family workshop together with his brother Herman Jørgen Kähler and played a central role in its artistic development. Nils Kähler worked particularly with stoneware, simple forms and distinctive glazes, with the strong turquoise-blue glaze becoming characteristic of part of his production during the 1950s and 60s.
