Bio:
The Meissen Porcelain Manufactory was founded in 1710 in Meissen, Saxony, and was the first European manufacturer of hard-paste porcelain. The celebrated Blue Onion pattern was introduced by Meissen in 1739 and has its origins in East Asian porcelain decoration. Executed in cobalt-blue underglaze, it became one of the manufactory’s best-known and most enduring patterns.
