Bio:
Daniel Sherrin (1868–1940) was a British landscape and marine painter, born in Brentwood, Essex, and the son of still-life painter John Sherrin. He initially worked with maritime subjects but became particularly known for English landscapes in which light, atmosphere and rural scenery play a central role. Sherrin later lived at Seasalter near Whitstable and painted landscapes associated with Norfolk and Suffolk. His paintings were also used as book illustrations and reproduced as engravings. Sources further record that he received a commission from King George V to depict Sandringham.
